God is not many things.
A strange concept since we’re taught that God is all things!
He truly is everything. He can and does control everything. The difficult part is that controlling it all does not mean that we may like ‘how’ He controls it.
The universe is complex. It’s an ordered system so intricate we may never know how it works.
Science gave us a view that shows processes governing systems via the sciences of biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics.
But ‘how’ the universe works doesn’t explain the ‘why’.
Only God knows the why.
God’s overall plan began billions, maybe trillions of years ago.
What today is like now is not how it’s going to stay. It took billons of years to get here and we have an unlimited amount of time ahead of us.
It will change! It will be vastly different!
When I ponder the truth that the earth will literally NOT exist one day, I get wobbly in my head!
This one piece of knowledge means that life as we know it will no longer be POSSIBLE!
Why did God make us only to take it away?
There was never a promise that He would keep things as they are. It was designed for change from the beginning.
Religious practices have given us a false sense of security, not just on a personal level, but on a cosmic level. God made the world, then made us and now la-de-da? Nope.
So, the first answer to what God is not is…
God is NOT stagnant.
God is NOT the Old Man in the heavenly clouds governing a small planet in a vastly incomprehensible universe with nothing else to do except make sure we stay good and loyal.
Gos IS an ephemeral supreme being that cares more about His overall plan than our human affairs. He cares about His ‘overall design’ that we’re only a small part of.
Are we important to God at all? Yes.
Unchristian? Wrong, VERY Christian!
We’ll go into how Christianity is a part of this overall plan in future posts.
Get connected! Stay connected!
Peace!! 🥰🙏🏼❤️
