Part 16: How to connect to God IX

Nurturing your connection is what’s next.

Yes, be patient and expectant that God is in fact connected to you and will reveal Himself in time, sooner or later, depending on your particular situation.

But in the meanwhile, nurture what you’ve begun.

Talk to God like you’re a crazy person speaking into the air! This could be aloud or in your mind, but talk to Him.

I didn’t say “pray to Him”, I said “talk to Him”. There’s a difference.

Next post I’ll discuss prayer, but this is about talking to Him.

Just “chat” like you would when you meet someone new that you really like and want to get to know.

Ask questions! Tell Him about yourself. Get to know each other.

Jesus spoke of the seeds of faith and how each would respond under different conditions. It’s a very practical understanding of how humans work.

Most will exalt of their new relationship only to let it falter for various reasons, as we are only human. YOU don’t let that happen.

Be resistant to criticism, self-criticism and from others. Everyone’s got an opinion, including yourself. Plug your ears and stay focused on the simplicity of your new relationship.

It’s just you and God getting to know each other. Take a walk together. Chat while doing your work or driving. Make it a new habit.

You have a friend that is always present. Always listens. Always loves you. Is faithful to the end.

As always…

Get connected! Stay connected!
Peace!!
