PART 23: BY FAITH ALONE IV

I just started reading “The Letter of Paul to the Ephesians”.

In its first two chapters there’s so much poetry and blah blah blah language, which sounds lovely and is beautifully written, but in the end does nothing more than stir emotions.

If you really translate the words and sentences it keeps repeating the same message over and over, Christ saved us and we’re one big happy family because of it.

Cool…

But the casual readers and practitioners are believing there’s some mysterious hidden meanings in there, because psychologically we believe that the Bible contains hidden meaning in everything. It doesn’t always.

Time to dispel those notions because they genuinely hinder our real understanding of God and connection to Him.

Back to Faith…

If you keep yourself, mind and body, in the worlds of poetry all you’re satisfying is your emotional needs and hence not really getting into a place of genuine belief in God, knowledge of God, connection to God and Faith in God.

My point is this, get connected to God, build on that connection to form a real faith in that connection.

That is your goal!

Relish in the joy of the poetry, but be suspicious of anything and everything that does not accomplish your end game, that is faith in and with God.

By “Faith Alone”, you can do anything, whether you read the Bible or not. Whether you go to church or not. Whether you practice rituals or not.

Faith is a state of being.

Not a certificate of accomplishment.

As always…

Get connected! Stay connected!
Peace…
