Discipleship

Are you willing to become a disciple of Christ for God?

Are you called to be a servant of God?

It’s a big ask, for sure.

Many of us follow this calling and become quite effective at it.

On the other hand, many of us begin, like how it makes us feel, then drop it altogether, or wither away from it as it becomes tedious, boring, too much work and so on.

Being in the service of God doesn’t have to be a grand gesture or radical change of vocation.

That’s great if it is, stick with it!

Being a disciple of Christ can be a private thing, as well.

You’re automatically part of “the club” when you sign up, which seems obvious, except you’ll be surprised how many people don’t feel that they are.

They misunderstand what “disciple” means.

It doesn’t have to mean a reworking of one’s life on the outside, per se.

It’s really a reworking of your innards, your soul and spirit.

A disciple is one who follows and learns and grows with and from whom they’re following.

If you’re inclined, become a disciple for real and enrich yourself with the majesty of the Lord.

He’s got lots to give…

Peace!
