It is said that you can see a person’s soul in their eyes.
But can you see your soul by looking into your own eyes?
Looking at yourself is not an easy thing to do, very healthy, but challenging.
Most of our lives fall into a middle gray where things are generally ‘ok’.
A little of this and a little of that, nothing radical, just the right amount of stuff to function normally.
But is it enough?
If we use the analogy of health, it can be said with confidence that you can’t be healthy enough.
Do naughty stuff in moderation, but always err on the side of health.
The same is true of spiritual development.
Don’t be satisfied with run of the mill practices that convince you you’re a believer in God or Christ or jelly doughnuts.
It’s a total waste of time.
It’s like doing one sit-up a day and calling yourself a health guru.
First, decide if God is something you genuinely want to pursue.
I’m not saying religion or Christianity, I’m saying God alone.
If so, invest some time and energy into making a connection with God.
In spite of all the books and spiritual gurus telling us to do this and that, including established religions, you don’t need anything or anyone but yourself to connect to God.
It’s true…
Do you need any special permissions or practices to witness and connect to nature?
Nope!
To be clear, I’m NOT comparing God to nature loving.
That’s a trap too many people have fallen into.
They have nothing to do with each other, so forget that approach.
Nature is nature. God is God.
Connect to God by first seeking God.
Simple, right, but is that all? Yes.
Don’t expect rays of light pouring into your space or wild rides of the imagination.
My ministry only seeks the reality of God, not religion.
If God is real, then it would follow that God will connect with you.
How? It’s on an individual basis.
Open yourself up by removing doubt, NOT by creating false feelings that will deceive.
The rest will follow; don’t easily give up, you’ll see…
