Many of us have heard the expression, “Have a Heart!”.

It generally means, to have mercy or show compassion.

It ain’t always so easy…

Jesus said we need to love our foes as well as our friends.

Having a heart must be the foundation; the core of our being.

It is the place by which all of our behavior and judgements must be made.

It’s a navigational tool that will steer us through the rocky landscape of our uncertain existence.

It is what separates us from all entities in the known universe.

We can “choose” by it.

Intelligence is our unique advantage as a species, but it can be argued that it is our ability to love that truly separates us from all others life forms.
