Relatability

Do you fell that people can relate to you easily?

Some people just got that something that attracts people to them and leaves them feeling good.

Others, like myself, not so much.

I don’t repel people (maybe some), but I’m a brooding type of person, as an artist, philosopher, pastor, I’m always thinking and it shows.

Some are attracted to it, others walk on the other side of the street when they see me.

God was high in the sky for the entirety of His time with man.

Once He reveled himself, He was brooding and angry and making sure we did our part to fear Him.

Then He changed His plan; He sent Jesus.

He went boots on the ground and lived amongst His people.

God always has a plan and I’m sure that it wasn’t the first time He came down to our level, but this time His plan was to interact and delver a message of love firsthand.

Maybe it was a test for us to see how we’d react (we know how that ended).

Or maybe it was because it needed to be that way and no other, because it was the only way it was going to work.

Jesus came, chilled, taught, we rejected him, He still loved us anyway, then He went back to God!

After the resurrection, what did we do?

We took Jesus, who was supposed to be relatable by design, and made Him mysterious and untouchable again.

It was out of respect that we did that, but we put Him so far away that He’s no longer relatable.

I’m not convinced that was God’s plan.

To connect with God is to intimately know Him, that’s what He wants!

Jesus is not to be feared (unless you’re evil, then yeah, you better run).

Jesus is relatable!

Get rid of the crap that society and religions have stuck on Jesus, like post-it notes that all say what He’s supposed to be and how to interact with Him, etc.

You be you, and let Him be Him.

Be friends, not strangers.

He’s more like us than you think, which is the whole point He came down in the first place.

Peace!
