The word love is so overused that it’s almost pointless to mention it. The effectiveness has waned to the point of irrelevance; a concept that people see as obvious, yet watered down, like cheap beer.
So, why bother, right?
Simply live a middle of the road existence. Play it safe and no one gets hurt, especially oneself, which we’re all protecting above all else.
Yet, it’s our greatest endeavor as a species to be steadfast in our love.
Love must endure, no matter what!
The experience of love is organic. Its consistency is ever changing. Its nature is elusive and ephemeral. We’re constantly in and out of states of love.
Understanding the nature of love is paramount to our survival, not physically, but spiritually.
“Love one another” is not a meme.
It’s a way of life, a choice, and it takes practice to perfect.
Religion not for you? Fine, practice it anyway! One has nothing to do with the other. They can be tied together, but they can be practiced separately; religious people can be angry people and lovers don’t necessarily believe in God. We’re only human.
Choose a better way, actively practice love. In the process, you’ll get closer to God and reap all the benefits therein.
