We’re truly lucky that we live in a time that has the resources and money to tackle a crisis such as this. We can be certain that people and industries are working tirelessly for innovative solutions. But the real innovation is the humankind. Yes, there are those thinking selfishly, but the majority are doing the opposite, selflessly offering themselves to others. What a beautiful thing to witness, man helping man.
The people of the Bible looked straight to heaven for the answers. They asked directly, not through a mediator. Free yourself from man-made requirements of worship. God is for you. Christ is for you. I am only a resource to help when needed, nothing more.
There are only three things you need to know to be a true Christian and live by faith; God exists, Gods power is Love and Christ will show you The Way. Having unwavering faith based on these three beliefs forms the core of your relationship with God.
Jesus was ahead of the pack from the beginning. He foresaw it all. He warned to beware of false teachers and charismatics that charm you but bring all the attention to themselves. Jesus called out the Jews of his day precisely for that reason. Their faith was about outward appearances and not about true faith to God.
The biggest challenges for me as a Pastor are convincing non-believing people that God does exist, and then, guiding those willing to accept the journey to the right place to find God.
These few words could be the most undervalued words Jesus spoke, and the most misunderstood.
In therapy I had this woman who was extremely smart and professional. I went in like an artist and thinker, a punk who needed to grow up. I was preposterously defensive. (It’s hysterical looking back at yourself).
You’ll end up dreaming about complex ideas in the full IMAX effect and live in a state of philosophical inquiry all day long.
Philosophy causes a psychological state of determinism. “This is what I believe and thus I will act accordingly.”
It's time we broke the silence and distance that separates us. We must recognize that even if we are different cultures and faiths, we may agree about what God is, only spoken with different words.
