The Spirit is Supreme – 2 Corinthians 3:4-6

Have you had any type of experience that belies your sense of the world to make you go, “Holy S–t! What just happened?” Probably not.

“4 Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim as anything coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” – 2 Corinthians 3:4-6 (ESV)

Christianity, as it has been taught to us all, has failed us all.

In 2000 years of teaching, man as a whole, is no closer to understanding the nature of God, the significance of Christ, and how to manifest the Spirit in ourselves than in the beginning. The deplorable twisted spread of Jesus’ teachings has yielded a world where, on the one hand, we’ve accepted a set of empty rituals and practices that lead nowhere, and on the other hand, we mock the idea of Jesus and the whole notion of God’s existence.

We are all, each one of us, phonies in Christ; followers of hollow words, instead of vessels of the Spirit. We wear the trinkets of Christian life, but have empty spiritual tanks on the inside. This does not apply 100% to all followers of Christ, but it does apply to the majority, like 99.9%. That most likely includes you, who are reading this. It certainly includes myself. The true nature of God’s plan, as Jesus so plainly spelled it out for us, made me realize what a sham I’ve been living.

Harsh words, I know. It hurts. It angers me. I surely have angered you. But allow me to explain…

Have you ever wondered why Christianity isn’t a more potent force in our lives? Not like the power of the church or any institution. I mean, like “sci-fi movie” powerful? (Stay with me…) Think about it, in the bible there’s all this talk of supernatural occurrences, but we bare witness to none of it. Why? As dopey as this is going to sound, the movies show more of the spiritual nature of our beings than do the teachers of the bible.

BUT THAT’S WHAT THE BIBLE IS ALL ABOUT!!! For Real. Fact, not fiction.

Ask yourself, have you ever seen any spirits? Have you seen any angels? Have you ever felt a supernatural energy course through your body? Have you had any type of experience that belies your sense of the world to make you go, “Holy S–t! What just happened?” Probably not.

For centuries, scholars and theologians have pushed the boundaries of thought to reason the nature of God and Christ and explain why we can’t “know God”. They favor simply having “faith in God”. In other words, you can think of God and hope, but you cannot live in knowledge and experience of God. Yet, Jesus’ whole ministry was centered on one objective, that is truly knowing God and being connected to Him, through Christ, as Jesus gave us The Way.

Allow me to reduce this concept to a simplified understanding, using a ubiquitous cultural reference that should make it readily clear. In the Star Wars sage, reference is made to The Force. In our story, The Force is God and Jesus is the hero. Jesus connected to The Force, that is God, in a way that transcended our understanding of the workings of the universe. Hence, it is not in the books or rituals that we connect with The Force (God), but in our beings. Through spiritual understanding and practice we become connected. The first and key part is that you must believe The Force (God) is real. You must truly believe to open the channel ways that flow Gods energy in and out of you and through all that exists.

Now, if you substitute The Force for the word God, you will then understand. God is The Force.

Language is the barrier here, couple with the outdated cookie-cutter way Ministers of Gods word continue to spread the same-ole-deceptions. You’re taught that you are Christian by simply showing up, justification by faith. When all you actually receive is a vehicle to God that doesn’t work. It looks like a vehicle, but it’s actually lawn sculpture.
