What if you could put all that you do, all that you want, and all your hopes in one unified place, where they work seamlessly to produce all your goals with the same effort? This is not just our physical labor, this would include your inner world, as well. You could feel like all your thoughts and actions, although seemingly disparate, are assisting each other harmoniously.

Why couldn’t your work be satisfying and altruistic? Is it possible to be creative and humanistic? Make money and give money? Hardline and critical, whilst also being helpful? Can I be successful as an artist and satisfy my Pastor duties to humanity? (I think I love dichotomies.)

There’s so much to fix in the world and it all requires money. Every humanitarian effort requires proper funding for its operations. How do you get it and enough of it? Then, how do you sustain a steady influx of funding?

My inspiration is the late Paul Newman and the company he started, Newman’s Own. Newman was well off from his amazing acting career. He could’ve simply donated money to his causes. But one cannot give continuously without eventually having to slow down or stop. Instead, he built a perpetual machine to manifest a steady flow of funds by the sale of food consumables. Buy his products and 100% of the profit goes to help the world. Brilliant!

This is why I am creating Unus Anima™ and The Unus Anima Foundation™, a shared understanding that as an Artist Robert Perez collector, you are joining in on the fight against things like, sex trafficking and climat change.

Forget that I am a Pastor. Forget that I am an artist. I am a fellow human, living side-by-side with all. Each day someone suffers greatly, and most often, it goes unnoticed. We can make a difference.

All the products we consume should have a “give back” program. My small effort will make a difference to someone. This is not haughty, it’s fact. Every small effort has an impact. That pushes me harder in the studio and in life each day.
