Verba Divina is a collection of poems from 1990-2026 on familiar concepts spanning the artist’s staple of existential and spiritual themes that lean heavily on philosophy, Western and Eastern theology, science and culture. Many times they’re a point-of-view narrative, where the thinkers are seemingly working out their thoughts and conclusions. Typical of the poets style is a combination of story telling, philosophical debate, hard-core theology, existential ranting and an overall mental battle between hope, despair, longing and triumph that’s composed in lyrical verse, intentionally using faux archaic language mixed with a contemporary every-man vibe. The language has warmth and intimacy, but only after it’s ingested and digested will it reveal its organic properties. Each line is a tangible bite, arranged in tidy succession, leading the reader to the inevitable.
